Croatia and Spain Draw in Nations League Final

Spain Win on Penalties

Rotterdam, Netherlands – June 10, 2025

Croatia and Spain played to a 0-0 draw in the UEFA Nations League Final on Sunday, with Spain ultimately winning 5-4 on penalties. The match was a closely contested affair, with both teams having chances to win in regulation and extra time.

Spain had the better of the chances in the first half, with Dani Olmo hitting the post and Ferran Torres forcing a good save from Dominik Livakovic. Croatia grew into the game in the second half, and Mateo Kovacic came close to scoring with a long-range effort.

Neither team could find a breakthrough in extra time, so the match went to a penalty shootout. Spain converted all five of their penalties, while Croatia missed one. Dani Carvajal scored the winning penalty for Spain, giving them their first trophy in 13 years.
