UN atomic chief hopes to hold talks with Iran’s new president before US election

Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said he hoped to meet Iran's new president, Ebrahim Raisi, before the US presidential election in November.

Grossi said he wanted to discuss Iran's nuclear program and other issues with Raisi.

Grossi said he hoped to meet with Raisi "as soon as possible" to discuss the agency's safeguards agreement with Iran.

The safeguards agreement is an agreement between Iran and the IAEA that allows the IAEA to verify that Iran is not developing nuclear weapons.

Grossi said he also wanted to discuss other issues with Raisi, including Iran's missile program and its support for Hezbollah.

Raisi was elected president of Iran in June. He is a hard-line conservative who has been critical of the nuclear deal with Iran.

The United States has said that it is willing to re-enter the nuclear deal if Iran complies with its terms.

However, it is unclear if Iran is willing to do so.

The IAEA is an independent international organization that is responsible for verifying that countries are complying with their nuclear non-proliferation obligations.

The IAEA has been monitoring Iran's nuclear program since 2003.

The IAEA has said that Iran is complying with its safeguards agreement.
