Suspect in Fatal Pursuit Crash Escapes Hospital

Hunt for Escaped Suspect Continues

Authorities are searching for a suspect who escaped from a hospital after being involved in a fatal pursuit crash in Southern California. The suspect, identified as 25-year-old William Amaya, fled the hospital shortly after being admitted for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

Crash Investigation Ongoing

The crash occurred on Saturday evening on the 210 Freeway in San Bernardino County. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Amaya was driving a stolen vehicle when he led officers on a high-speed pursuit. The pursuit ended when Amaya's vehicle crashed into a concrete barrier, killing a passenger.

Amaya was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, he managed to escape from the hospital under unclear circumstances.

Suspect Description

Amaya is described as a Hispanic male, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.

Public Safety Concerns

Authorities are urging the public to be vigilant and report any sightings of Amaya to law enforcement. They caution that he may be armed and dangerous.
