Hunt for Escaped Suspect Continues

Authorities are searching for a suspect who escaped from a hospital after being involved in a fatal pursuit crash in Southern California. The suspect, identified as 25-year-old William Amaya, fled the hospital shortly after being admitted for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Amaya was driving a stolen vehicle when he led officers on a high-speed pursuit. The pursuit ended when Amaya's vehicle crashed into a concrete barrier, killing a passenger.

Amaya was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, he managed to escape from the hospital under unclear circumstances.

Suspect Description

Amaya is described as a Hispanic male, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.
