CHICAGO, June 21, 2023 - U.S. Soccer has announced the 23-player roster for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, which will be held in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20.
Youngest Player Ever Named to U.S. World Cup Roster
The roster includes 18 players who were part of the 2019 World Cup championship team, as well as five newcomers. The youngest player on the roster is 18-year-old defender Emily Fox, who becomes the fifth-youngest player and fifth teenager ever named to a U.S. World Cup roster.
The USWNT will open its World Cup campaign on July 21 against the Netherlands in Auckland, New Zealand. They will also face Vietnam on July 27 and Portugal on August 1 in Group E play.
